In this short interview Professor Michelle Nisolle, Editor in Chief of EGO journal, explains the goal of the journal as well as the need to create a multidisciplinary journal which gathers manuscripts covering all the gynecological and obstetrical pathologies that may be encountered in clinical practice.

EGO, the official Open Access Journal of the European Society of Gynecology, is avalable at www.egojournal.eu.
